Myofascial Release Introductory Course (2)
This is a 1-day class from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Myofascial release techniques will be performed on a massage table. Participants will practice proper body mechanics of practitioner including smooth transitions and effective hand positions. Students will be instructed on contraindications and effectively demonstrate how to adjust the session accordingly if indicated. Participants shall identify treatment steps: Students shall conduct a postural analysis, analysis through touch, stretch and relax skin, apply technique, vasomotor response, therapeutic response, follow the motion - barrier upon barrier until all is quiet, unwinding/rebounding and evaluate changes. Students shall practice and identify techniques in Myofascial Release: cross hand techniques lumbar central or unilateral, thoracic central, lateral or unilateral prone, thoracic horizontal and vertical supine, lumbosacral decompression, transverse fascial planes (pelvic floor, respiratory diaphragm, thoracic inlet), arm and leg pull, vertical stroking techniques, strumming, bear claw, scar release, fascia pop, skin rolling, planted stretch, L stretch, forearm stretch, palm stretch and twist stretch.
This is a 1-day class from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. The cost of this workshop is $175. which includes a class manual on techniques. Each student will give and receive as students practice on one another. You will also receive a certificate upon completion of this class. NCBTMB approved Continuing Education Hours = 8

Smith and Upledger, JE, Craniosacral Therapy. Soft Tissue Melting: Deep Tissue Through Light Touch 2013 with Kelly James (A Myofascial Approach technique). In 1998 Susan trained with a John Barnes teacher in training, Jill Wiley at Fox Valley School of Massage - Intro. to MFR 48 hour training tutorial & practice. Susan also did independent studies for teaching Myofascial Release At Globe University from 2013 - 2017 studying Myofascial Release A Step-by-Step Guide to More Than 60 Techniques by Ruth Duncan, The Myofascial Release Manual by Carol J. Manheim and her 250 page manual from John F. Barnes, PT Course/ Myofascial Release the search for excellence a comprehensive evaluator and treatment approach , and Soft Tissue Release - Jane Johnson.
